TP-Link SG2206MP is a 6-port gigabit switch with PoE+ support designed for deployment in networks with access points, IP cameras, and IP phones.
The switch features 4× gigabit RJ-45 ports with PoE+ compliant with the 802.3at/af standard, one additional gigabit RJ-45 port, and 1× gigabit SFP slot for fiber connectivity. The total PoE budget is 63 W, with up to 30 W deliverable per PoE+ port. The Fast PoE feature ensures rapid power delivery to connected devices upon startup, while Perpetual PoE maintains power to peripherals even during a switch reboot.
The device supports static routing (32 IPv4/IPv6 static routes) for efficient management of internal traffic and offers advanced networking features including VLAN, ACL, QoS, and IGMP Snooping. Management is available standalone via web interface, CLI, SNMP, or RMON, or centrally through the Omada SDN platform with cloud access. The fanless design ensures silent operation, and the robust metal housing allows desktop placement or wall mounting.
Security and Access Control
The switch offers comprehensive network security: 802.1X authentication (port-based and MAC-based), IP Source Guard, IPv6 Source Guard, static and dynamic port security (up to 64 MAC addresses per port), and DoS attack protection. Device management is secured via HTTPS with TLS 1.2 and SSH v1/v2.
IPv6 and Multicast
Full IPv6 support includes static routing, dual stack IPv4/IPv6, MLD Snooping, DHCPv6 Client, Ping6, Tracert6, and IPv6 applications for SSH, SSL, and SNMP. Multicast supports up to 511 shared IPv4/IPv6 groups, MVR, and limited IP multicast profiles (256 profiles, 16 entries per profile).
