The VCG-2406WP-NR device integrates four Gigabit M12 (8-pin) X-coded Ethernet ports (including two IEEE 802.3at PoE+ ports with power up to 36 W per port). Robust M12 connectors provide excellent resistance to shock and vibration, while the aluminum housing with IP50 rating and operating temperature range of -40 to +75 °C ensures reliable operation in buses, railway vehicles, and other transportation vehicles.
For reliable connectivity, the gateway supports 5G NR Sub-6 GHz with download speeds up to 2.4 Gb/s and upload speeds up to 900 Mb/s, dual SIM design with automatic failover, SD-WAN technology, and dual-WAN failover. The integrated GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS for precise location tracking. The device features Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with throughput up to 1800 Mb/s in dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Dual redundant power supply 9–54 V DC guarantees uninterrupted operation.
Advanced Security and Firewall
The device includes an SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall for protection against unauthorized access, defense against DoS/DDoS attacks, port flooding, and abnormal traffic patterns. It supports Virtual Server and DMZ functions for secure hosting of internal services. Management via HTTPS, SNMPv1/v2c/v3, and secure tunneling minimizes security risks.
Intelligent PoE Device Management
Two IEEE 802.3at PoE+ ports provide a total output of 60 W with power consumption monitoring for each port, displaying overload, low/high voltage, and overheating status. The PD Alive Check feature automatically restarts unresponsive devices using ping tests, while scheduled PoE port shutdown at designated times saves energy and enhances security.
DI/DO Interface and Alarm
The M12 A-coded 5-pin connector provides one digital input (DI) with levels -24 V to +2.1 V (Level 0) and +2.1 V to +24 V (Level 1), one digital output (DO) of open collector type up to 24 V DC/100 mA, and a relay output for alarm in case of port or power failure with current rating of 1 A at 24 V DC.
Remote Management and Monitoring
Compatibility with PLANET UNI-NMS and CloudNMS platform allows IT personnel to remotely manage all network devices and monitor the status of connected PDs. The dashboard provides real-time system overview, automatic restart, and diagnostic tools to enhance management efficiency.
